Queen's Gambit Official chess set

£425.00

The Queen's Gambit Official chess set by Rechapados reproduces the board and pieces from the award-winning Queen's Gambit series. The handmade board pairs stained black tulip wood with cream root wood under a matte varnish, giving a smooth, precise playing surface that still lets the grain show through. It is a statement set for serious players and collectors, and a memorable gift for any fan of the show or of fine woodwork. Key details: • Board: handmade, 19" (50 x 50 cm), tulip wood and root wood with a matte varnish • Pieces: lead-weighted bases for stability, with an additional queen included • King height: 3.8 inches • Presentation: luxury double case with magnetic closure • Players: 2 • Brand: Rechapados The weighted pieces sit firmly through even the fastest blitz game, and the spare queen means a promoted pawn never has to wear an upturned rook. Between games the whole set packs away into its magnetic double case, which looks as good on a shelf as the board does on the table.
